π¨ Open call for submissions π¨
We need writers+artists for the second issue!
The Vibe
We want to read about the things that make you tick:
π½οΈ Watched something recently that rocked the way you see the world?
π Strongly believe that A Bug's Life is the socialist bible for the masses?
π² Maybe you're interested in the historical origins of board game mechanics?
β That one really oddly specific take you have about Keynesian economics and Netflix's The Floor Is Lava.
Reading literary research can be as bad as reading your lawyer's summertime dream. We're not about that - the arts should be fun, engaging, and digestible.
Publishing
Last time around we raised over Β£1,100 on Kickstarter, and hoping to beat that this time around!
πΈ This meant we could pay contributors Β£80 for their submissions. If we raise more we'll pay more, and vice versa. Because of fun tax stuff and exchange rates, UK writers preferrable.
Your work is yours - there's no exclusivity clause or anything like that. If you want to send in something you've already written and are super proud of, go right ahead.
Interested?
If there's something already sparking in your head, shoot me an email at eryk@hey.com, or follow me on Twitter: @peregrine_coast
We're aiming for between 1,000 and 2,000 words an article, so keep that in mind when submitting your ideas!
πTentative submission date of 25th of July
No previous writing experience required, and would love to encourage submissions from people who don't think of themselves as writers to submit something!
